Located on the western side of the national park, Lake McDonald is a cannot miss destination as the Going-to-the-Sun Road parallels the eastern shore. POTW: The Kawuneeche Valley

John Muir once said, “And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul." The Kawuneeche Valley inside Rocky Mountain National Park is a perfect place to do just that. Stella and I spent this past Friday wandering around the north end of the valley via snowshoes.

POTW: Sacred Dancing Cascade

Sacred Dancing Cascade, tucked away along the Going-to-the-Sun Road on the west side of Glacier National Park. After spending the day on Lake McDonald, a quick jaunt to Avalanche Falls accompanied by a stroll through the Trail of the Cedars, we stopped at the Sacred Dancing Cascade.
