A top Twin Peaks South looking into the heart of the Challis National Forest. The first stop along our Idaho Panhandle~Canada Adventure. The Salmon-Challis National Forest is one of the largest national forests in the continental United States and encompasses the majority of the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness.

POTW: Clark Fork River

The Clark Fork River: the origins start deep in southwest Montana near Butte, flowing northwest through the Bitterroot Valley and continuing a northwesterly flow past Missoula before emptying into Lake Pend Oreille, near Clark Fork, Idaho.
