Boca Chita Key

Boca Chita Key, located in Biscayne National Park, is a picturesque island in the northern Florida Keys. This small, serene island is a popular destination for boaters, campers, and nature enthusiasts who are drawn to its natural beauty, historic structures, and recreational opportunities. Boca Chita Key boasts a lush landscape of tropical vegetation, including palm trees, mangroves, and various native plants. The island’s shoreline is lined with sandy beaches and rocky outcrops, offering visitors stunning views of the turquoise waters of Biscayne Bay. The clear, warm waters around the island are home to a diverse array of marine life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and occasionally dolphins, making it a fantastic spot for snorkeling and diving.

Adjacent to the lighthouse is a charming, rustic pavilion and a small, historic chapel, both of which add to the island’s unique character.
