Grand Lake, Colorado, represents a blend of natural beauty, rich history, and is the western gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Our website was once known as Base Camp @ Grand Lake before we transitioned to Paddle & Trails. Stella and I have spent an excessive amount of time in Grand Lake and one of our favorite winter activities is spending time on the trails at the Grand Lake Nordic Center. The Nordic Center offers a variety of terrain on 35 km of classic and skate skiing trails from beginner to advanced. Additionally, there is the opportunity to snowshoe and utilize their tubing hill. The video I have shared, shows me skiing along River Run and stepping onto the bridge over the Colorado River. The majestic mountains surrounding the Nordic Center provide a stunning backdrop, creating a picture-perfect setting for outdoor adventures.
