Welcome to Paddle & Trails, formerly Base Camp @ Grand Lake!
Base Camp @ Grand Lake launched in the summer of 2017. Since that time the website has experienced tremendous growth, evolving into a trusted worldwide resource. After seven wonderful summers in Grand Lake, Colorado, we relocated to Coeur d’Alene, nestled within the Idaho Panhandle, in September of 2024. To align with this move, we transitioned the website name and logo to: Paddle & Trails.
We are outdoor adventure enthusiasts who are passionate about: mixed trail biking, flat water kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding, backcountry snowshoeing, and both backcountry and classic cross-country skiing.
Paddle & Trails is dedicated to the provision of honest product reviews for outdoor gear, comprehensive posts about our year-round adventures, as well as being a resource for outdoor and environmental issues. Additionally, we aim to provide valuable information about the Winnebago Micro Minnie FLX 2108DS travel trailer that we purchased in 2022.
