SUSPENZ END AIRLESS CART

Suspenz End Airless Cart

After carrying The Big Mango around for the last 10 years, usually fully loaded with our gear, we resigned to purchasing a cart. A kayak cart allows us to park further away from the water’s entrance and not be burdened with carrying it, sometimes longer distances. When fully loaded, The Big Mango weighs about 75 pounds. Why did we suddenly decide to get this now? I guess because we are getting old and lazy. Work smarter, not harder.

Thoughts about getting a cart first began during our visit to Dutch John, Utah and the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. We were considering launching the kayak at the Cedar Springs Boat Ramp, which is steep and not particularly safe for unloading and loading a kayak. Parking was a challenge, getting down to the water’s edge was a small feat unto itself, and then walking the kayak back up the ramp after paddling was another hurdle. After reviewing both the Suspenz Heavy Duty Deep-V Airless Cart and the Suspenz END Airless Cart, we chose the END Airless Cart model due to its simplicity of use.

The Suspenz END Airless Cart is so easy and convenient to use that it doesn’t make any sense not to have one (unless you never transport your kayak). And, the cart is small, lightweight and easy to store in the back of the truck and the garage. The very first time we used this cart, we looked at each other and were speechless, realizing how ridiculous it was that we had not purchased it (or something similar) many years ago. Suspenz offers a variety of carts for transporting kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards. Thus far, we have not purchased a cart for our boards.

There are a few differences between Deep-V and END models. The Deep-V sits in the middle of the kayak and has a few extra straps. And because it sits in the middle of the kayak, it supports more of the weight, making it a bit easier to pull. The END model sits at the back end of the kayak and only has one securing strap. It offers a minimalist approach, which we appreciate. However, this model requires the user to support a heavier weight while pulling.

HOW TO USE:

Position the back end of the kayak onto the padded groove, pull the bungee strap forward, and latch the hook underneath the rear seat (or whatever type of anchor point is available). Once secured, adjust the front end of the kayak so the length of the kayak is aligned squarely. Lift the front end of the kayak and take off!

FUNCTIONALITY:

The airless wheels are durable and rugged. We have pulled the cart over rocks, gravel and grass without any difficulty. The bungee cord keeps the kayak fully secure in the cart while transporting over uneven terrain. The Suspenz End Airless Cart could not be easier to use, and setup was a breeze.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

The Suspenz End Airless Cart is a game-changer! We recommend this cart ten times over! Additionally, we highly recommend Suspenz products overall, as we have four of their other products. Check out our reviews below.
