Paddle & Trails has relocated to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho!
For the last three years, we had been attempting to move further northwest, to either Idaho, Montana or Wyoming. The past two summers, we traveled around the Idaho Panhandle and fell in love with the area. Northern Idaho offers a culmination of everything we love to do right at our fingertips! We had debated between Sandpoint and Coeur d’Alene, but chose Coeur d’Alene based on available housing options and job opportunities (for Stella).
We are surrounded by mountains in every direction, covered with lush green trees. There are a plethora of large lakes and rivers, close access to multiple National Parks, close to the Canadian border, nearby access to public land for cross-country and snowshoeing, great restaurants, closer to Stella’s family in Challis, and the list goes on! We’ve rented a house in a newer area of Coeur d’Alene at the Hayden border. Right out our front door, we have direct access to an endless network of biking/walking trails. And, Stella only has a 12-minute commute to work.
With Coeur d’Alene as our new base camp, we can get outside and explore more often, resulting in more frequent adventure posts. Once we finish getting settled in, be on the lookout for what we are doing. Thank you to our followers and those who utilize Paddle & Trails as a resource!
