We journeyed through northern Idaho the past summer during our Idaho Panhandle ~ Canada Adventure and twice biked along the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes. The 72-mile-long Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes is a rail trail located in northern Idaho. It follows the former Union Pacific Railroad from Mullan, a mountain mining town near the Montana border, westward to Plummer, a town on the prairie near the Washington border. Loosely following the Coeur d’Alene River and crosses Lake Coeur d’Alene on the Chatcolet Bridge, a long wooden trestle bridge. The video takes us from the Black Rock Trailhead east to the Enaville Trailhead although our journey took us out past the Elizabeth Park Trailhead before turning about and heading back. We also rode the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes from the Plummer Trailhead slightly past the Springston Trailhead.
