Turquoise Lake ~ Leadville, Colorado. Fall in the Colorado mountains where the aspens are starting to pop in the high country. Stella and I took a day trip to Leadville with the intent to hike along the shores of Turquoise Lake and fish. We were able to check one box, but not the fishing box. Literally after the first cast into the lake, the winds kicked in… and that was that. Turquoise Lake is in the San Isabel National Forest.
